General Selective/Scholarship Tutor

Contract · CasualOnline (Australia-wide)~5 hrs/week per class group$50-65/hr

You'll deliver selective entry and scholarship preparation classes to students sitting the exam, and help keep our teaching material current. Class delivery is the core of the role; curriculum work is optional and paid separately at $35/hr including super.

One hard requirement: you attended the school you'd be teaching for. Every tutor here is an alumnus of the selective school they prepare students for. It's a promise we make to parents on our website, not a preference.

Responsibilities

Deliver targeted instruction for selective school and scholarship entrance exams
Customise teaching approaches to individual student needs
Monitor student progress and provide actionable feedback
Help keep teaching material current, if you want the curriculum work

Requirements

EduTest experience. You've sat it, taught it, or prepped for it. This is the exam we're built around and it isn't negotiable
You attended the school you'd be teaching for
Strong academic record: 3+ Superior grades, 3+ top 20% marks, or a grammar school scholarship worth 50%+
Comfortable teaching a room, not just tutoring one-to-one
16+ years old, with reliable internet and a decent camera and microphone

Nice to Have

ATAR of 98+
A grammar school scholarship worth 50%+
Familiarity with ACER or NAPLAN alongside EduTest
Prior teaching or tutoring experience, preferred but not required. If you've never taught before but you know the exam cold, still apply

Hours: ~5 hrs/week per class group
