Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked
Questions

How much does tutoring cost in total for a month?

$410, which includes $360/month for tutoring and an additional $50/month for the Big Brain Subscription

What are the class sizes?

We cap our classes to only have 10 students in the content lesson and 5 students in the applied lesson. The drop in class doesn't have a cap on how many students can attend, but on average, 5-10 students attend each week.

What's the class structure?

We begin the week with a Content lesson, followed by an Applied lesson and finally an optional Drop in class

What happens in the content lesson?

We teach the fundamental knowledge that students need to succeed on exam day for all sub-exams

What happens in the applied lesson?

We help students master key strategies and skills that students need to excel on the exam. We teach a range of topics, all the way from implementing strong foundational sub-exam specific strategies to mastering the mindset that's needed to do well on exam day.

What happens in the drop in lesson?

We review key areas that students tend to struggle with and provide time for students to seek extra help.

Do you provide any resources we can buy?

Unfortunately, we do not provide any resources to those external to our tutoring students. BigBrain is our external platform that we use which you can purchase.

What's Big Brain?

Big Brain is an external learning platform, that contains a large question bank for students to practice on. This is something we require all students to get, as it is an essential learning tool.

Are all JT Tutors alumni?

Yes all of our students have not only sat the JMSS entry exam, but have also gained entry into JMSS. These tutors have unique and invaluable firsthand experience.

Do you offer a free trial week?

Definitely, we want students and parents to try us out before they make any sort of commitment!
