How We Teach

Group tutoring comes in two tiers, priced by how many subjects your child takes (1 to 3). Scholar is $330, $496 or $646 and Accelerator is $580, $746 or $896, every 4 weeks, for 1, 2 or 3 subjects. Both tiers include the Big Brain platform in that price (a $40 every 4 weeks value, discounted from $149). It is not billed on top. Self Study (Big Brain only) is $149 every 4 weeks. Paying every 12 weeks works out a little cheaper per class. All prices AUD, GST-inclusive, no lock-in, cancel anytime.

Content classes are capped at 18. Applied sessions are capped at 6 for close feedback. The optional drop-in has no cap.

Each week has a Content class (core exam concepts), an Applied session (timed practice and strategy), and an optional Drop-in for extra support. That comes to about 5 hours a week.

Weekly classes run online, so your child can join from anywhere in Melbourne or regional Victoria. We also run in-person workshops during the year for mock exams and intensives.

Yes. We run a diagnostic first to understand where your child is. If there is enough demand, we will start a new group class so your child can begin with a fresh cohort.

We prepare students currently in Years 9, 10 and 11 for Year 10 and Year 11 Edutest selective-entry exams (JMSS, EBS, Melbourne High, Mac.Robertson, Nossal, Suzanne Cory). We do not run Year 9 ACER classes. A current Year 8 can register early for the following year's Year 10-entry intake.

Yes. JMSS and Victorian selective classes build toward the mid-2027 Edutest sitting for 2028 Year 10 entry, with Year 11 entry where the school offers it. Book a free trial on this page and name the school. The trial is a week of current classes.

We email parents progress updates with diagnostic results, attendance and tutor feedback on strengths and weak spots.

We send over the class recording so your child can catch up in their own time. They can also attend the optional Drop-in session for extra support.

Big Brain is our online practice platform with 10,000+ questions in the exam format. Its analytics let students and parents track progress. It is included in every Scholar and Accelerator plan at no extra charge (counted at a discounted $40 every 4 weeks inside the fee you see, not billed on top). Standalone it is $149 every 4 weeks as Self Study.

Yes. Every tutor sat and passed a selective entry exam. They can tell your child what the exam, the interview and the school are like.

Yes. Book a free trial for 2028 Year 10 entry (Edutest exam mid-2027). After a diagnostic, your child joins a full trial week. If it is not the right fit, there is nothing to pay.
